Project Challenges
Raw material reserve must sustain continuous milling
At 60,000 t of annual processing, the flour mill cannot afford a supply gap. Local wheat arrives in a short harvest window, so the silos must absorb concentrated intake and then feed the lines steadily — with a reserve of over 10,000 t held in parallel.
Nine large silos and a blending bin must work as one
The nine 1,500 t silos handle bulk storage of the main wheat, while the 800 t blending bin manages recipe-based blending. Large silos control volume, the blending bin controls formula — and any weak link between them turns blending into a line bottleneck.
Southern Xinjiang climate: moisture, insects and temperature swings
Shaya is dry and windy with large day–night temperature differences. Wheat needs moisture-proof and insect-proof storage plus in-silo temperature control to prevent condensation and localized heating, so sealing and aeration must suit local conditions.
Linking contract farming with a smart production line
Under the “enterprise + cooperative + farmer” model, raw grain arrives in many scattered batches. The silos must support batch segregation and quality-based blending while connecting to the automatic cleaner and smart flour line — a continuous field-to-mill chain.
03 / Solution
Solution: 1,500T × 9 Wheat Silos + 800 t Blending Bin
1,500T × 9 groups (main silos)
Handles concentrated intake of local wheat during harvest and long-term storage afterwards. Large single-silo capacity with a moderate number of groups lowers unit storage cost and keeps centralized management simple.
800 t blending bin (supporting)
Manages recipe-based blending and turnover. Small capacity and fast switching create a clear division of labor with the main silos — large silos control volume, the blending bin controls formula.
Sealed steel silos for a dry, high-difference climate
Sealed steel silos with moisture-proof and insect-proof design, plus aeration and temperature control tuned to in-silo conditions, suit southern Xinjiang’s dry, windy climate and wide temperature swings.

04 / Highlights
Technical Highlights: Why 1,500T × 9 Groups + a Blending Bin
Large single silos: fast intake, clean management
At 1,500 t per silo, this is a large-bin configuration for a regional flour mill; nine groups deliver 13,500 t. Harvest-season intake is fast with less truck queuing, and with a moderate number of silos, level and batch management stay far clearer than with a crowd of small bins.
Main silos + blending bin: scale and flexibility
The nine 1,500 t silos solve “store more at lower cost”; the 800 t blending bin solves “blend accurately, switch quickly.” Under contract farming with many batches, main silos hold grain by batch while the blending bin turns over by recipe — keeping blending off the bottleneck list.
Sealed storage + aeration, built for southern Xinjiang
Sealed steel silos with moisture-proof and insect-proof design address Shaya’s dry, windy, high-difference climate, cutting condensation and localized heating; aeration and temperature control adjust to in-silo conditions to protect local premium wheat.

Client Feedback
“With nine 1,500 t silos plus the 800 t blending bin, we can take in local contract wheat quickly during harvest, then blend by recipe and feed the mill steadily during production. The number of silos is moderate, so batch management is far clearer than before. Since commissioning, intake and line feeding have run smoothly — we have never had to stop the mill because storage or blending fell behind.”
